Bible Reading Challenge: a Milepost

We’re taking a week off of our Bible Reading Challenges, which seems appropriate, as we’re two-thirds of the way through. Next week we’ll turn a page–a very significant page, from the Old Testament to the New.  If you’re new to Redeemed Reader and have been wondering what the Bible Reading Challenge  is all about, this might be a good place to start your own Bible reading adventure.  We’ve been getting ready for the appearance of this person who’s been promised almost from page one–Next week we’ll meet the forerunner, and then Messiah Himself appears!

If you would like to receive our weekly emails letting you know when a new Bible challenge is up, let us know in the comments section below.  ANY time is a good time to start, but now is especially propitious–especially since our one-of-a-kind artist, Carl Dean White, will soon be back.  Also, if you haven’t checked out the very cool verse tunes posted by our new intern, please give them a click on the home page.  The best way to hide the word in your heart is learning to sing it.  See you soon!

    Marlo,
We totally understand about time constraints! Emily and I are going to be looking at the series again to make it better, and maybe shorter. Many thanks for your feedback.

I’ll be honest. We didn’t make it very far in the challenge. I love the idea, but the time I picked to do it — in the evening during mealtime — turned out to be a bust. I’m keeping them though, and hoping to start over next year, during the morning before school. What we did, we liked. I especially appreciated having good thought-provoking questions. It was just difficult for us to squeeze it in during our busy seasons (sport seasons). I hope by moving it to the beginning of the day, it will be seen as a priority.
