Web Newberys, July 16

Noteworthy book posts I’m ruminating on these days:

  • Batman Readers: I haven’t checked out any of these recommendations, online so you’re on your own here.  But if you have a teenage Batman-lover, they might be worth investigating.
  • Book Trailers?  An overview of video trailers for books by School Library Journal.
  • Coming Soon: Bible Museum:  You’ll have to wait about four more years, but plans are in the works for a Bible Museum in Washington, D.C.

Have any of you seen or written any fun book-related posts lately?  We’d love to check them out!

It’s been a sad summer indeed in terms of losing some of children’s literature’s greatest authors/illustrators. Donald Sobol (author of Encyclopedia Brown) just passed away recently as well. And Leo Dillon (half of the amazing Dillon team) died earlier this summer, too.

I wasn’t aware of that, Betsy. Thanks for letting us know.
